Writers Tears Copper Pot Irish Whiskey is a light and sweet Irish whiskey made with a mix of single pot still and single malt whiskeys. It has oodles of honeyed, fruity notes and would make a great introduction to Irish whiskey for folks new to the spirit. The nose has soft and sweet notes with thick honey spread on granary toast. Hints of citrus peels are present in the nose. The palate is gently spiced with a burst of ginger and butterscotch with background notes of toasted oak. The finish is long and elegant with subtle notes of milk chocolate and almonds.
